The Flasher

So....This morning I drop my daughter and my mom off at church and go to park the car. I walk back to the church and as I enter I'm greeting people as I make my way up the steps to the sanctuary. I see Missy and she gives me a hug and kiss like this is the first time she has seen me in ages. So I sit her down on the pew and walk to the front to greet my sister and the Minister of Music, I turn around and Missy has taken off her dress and is proceeding to walk around the church in her stockings, boots and a turtleneck. Can you imagine how embarrassed I was? What is she going to come up with next.

Random Thoughts

So...I try not to let things annoy me, but every now and then something does....
1. I hate for parents to curse at their children, they are not dumb shits or lazy bastards, they are children, they didn't ask to be here, so treat them with kindness and gentleness, remember they may have to take care you one day
2. I hate when you ask "Is today Tuesday" and someone replies "All day long" WTF did you think I expected it to turn to Saturday sometime around 3:30 pm
3. I hate the Outback Steakhouse jingle, you know the one "Let's do Outback tonight, life will still be here tomorrow" ANNOYING
3. I hate it when people have liquor at a child's birthday party, if you want to drink stay home, what if one of the kids picks up the wrong cup and vodka starts burning their little chest.
4. I hate for people to blame their troubles on everything but themselves, GROW UP, take responsibility for your actions and decide to make better choices.
5. I hate for people to wear seasonal clothing, like wearing a red sweater with Santa on the front or a sweatshirt with the Easter Bunny, oh that bugs the hell out of me.

That's it for now, I'm sure something else will come to me soon though.

I'll always love my momma

So...I totally, completely, consciencely and whole-heartedly believe in the power of prayer; my mother instilled that in me, but I have come to believe it on my own. I truly thank God daily for a parent who constantly and consistantly prays for me and keeps me grounded. I have said this before but it bears mentioning again; My mother is my Rock of Gibralter, she is my backbone, my shoulder to cry on, my financial advisor, my sex education teacher and my role model. My mother and I have the kind of relationship, I would assume, most girls dream about having. I can come to my mother about any and everything. She may not agree with me but she will not judge me. She will advise me to the best of her knowledge and if for some reason she does not know, she will tell me that and begin the journey to find out with me. I don't aspire to be another Oprah Winfrey, Shirley Chisholm or Maya Angelou, I aspire to be half the woman that my mother is. I aspire to have the same relationship with my daughter that I have with my mother. I aspire to carry all her life lessons with me until God calls me home. For those of you who still have the good fortune to still have your mother with you, I pray that you respect her and love her. Even if your relationship is strained and you can find nothing else to love her for, love her for giving you life. If this offends you I do not apologize, for I have no reason to. I will yell from the rooftops how much I love, honor and respect my mother, not for just giving me life, but for teaching me life. I can't imagine life without her, but if God decides that her time here on earth is done, I will carry her memory in my heart forever.

Here it goes

So...Prior to giving birth to my daughter I was a solid 143 lbs. I gained a total of 61lbs during my pregnancy, which for those of you who have never had children is more the twice the recommended weight gain for a single birth. Well I have never lost that weight and it has been plaguing me ever since and my daughter just turned 3. In addition to that, I have been recently diagnosed with Lupus. Lupus causes several conditions one of which is arthritis, which I now have in my knees and elbows. The combination of these two things have made me realize I need to loose some weight. So I'm taking a page from Lex and track my weight loss progress. This is really hard for me to admit so please be kind. Here it goes:

Current weight: 205 lbs
Goal weight: 155lbs
First milestone: to loose 10lbs by February 14th.
2nd milestone: loose 25lbs total by my sister's wedding, April 28th
3rd milestone: loose 40 lbs total by my mom's birthday cruise September 8th
Goal: loose 50 lbs by DP's wedding, October 6th

My biggest hurdle is giving up fried chicken (specifically wings) and Pepsi. Sweet Lord I love my Pepsi. I will be keeping you updated on my progress. If any of you have nutritional food ideas please let me know. If any of you have gone through trying to loose weight, please give me some support/enlightenment.

Happy New Year!

I know I'm late, but it is heartfelt all the same. I hope every one had a great and safe holiday. I was on vacation from December 22 - January 2nd and it was completely blissful. I spent time with Missy and played with all her toys, we went shopping and ate out, it was great. The best part of my holiday was when I got the ring...YES That ring!!!!! MM finally proposed, I am getting married. My excitement is tinged with just a bit of nervousness but I'm sure that is normal. I have been down right giddy for the last week, but I deserve it. My goal now is to loose weight by the time I get married. Wish me luck.

Oh the Secrets that Victoria holds

So...I told you that I work part time at Victoria's Secrets, well I worked a rare two nights straight Wednesday and Thursday. These are the stories of my shift

Female Shopper #1, late 40's - She comes in asking for cotton panties, I direct her to the 3 tables full of cotton panties and ask her if she is looking for a particular style, she says not granny panties, so I show her an example of the String Bikini, the Hi-leg brief, the hiphuggers and the boy shorts, she chooses the hiphuggers and ask the price, I tell her 1 for $7.50 and 5 for $25, she says that is too much she just needs to throw on a pair because she just pissed on herself, WTF.

Male Shopper #1, late 30's early 40's - He ask for some conservative for his wife, something sexy for his girlfriend and something slutty for his secretary. Wife, Girlfriend, and Secretary, WTF.

Female Shopper #2, 16 - 17 tops, - She wants to find something that will make her boyfriend cum in his pants, I said sweetheart you could were a pair of granny panties and a wife beater and a teenage boy will come in his pant, she says but he is 19 and a freshman in college and she wants to compete with the girls at his school, my response - darling you are too young to be trying to compete for some boys attention, either he wants you or he doesn't, please don't grow up to quickly, she starts to cry and leaves the store, WTF.

Female Shopper #3, mid to late 20's, - She needs edible underwear and anal beads, I inform her that we don't sell that and direct her to the Pleasure Chest, an adult novelties store and she tells me only sluts and freaks go in there, so I just look at her and raises an eyebrow, she turns red, get all insulted and leaves.

Male Shopper #2, early 30's, - He ask for 50 pair of the panties with the thin string up the ass (his exact words), so he spent $250 on V-String panties in every color and design.

I work again on Sunday, I'm sure I'll have more stories for you then.
